For the 2023 St. Jude Sweet Corn Festival a new booth was created striving to help evangelization to visitors from a wide array of backgrounds. The booth, situated in a heavily-trafficked area of the annual festival, will offer resources and people for visitors to chat with about faith, Jesus, and Christianity. Inspired by John 4, the booth's title references the Samaritan woman and Jacob's Well and her encounter with Jesus.
The phrase from this passage that most directly influenced the look of the logo comes from something Jesus said: "The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life" (John 4:14). The Samaritan woman's encounter with Christ and the water that He gives results in her becoming a font bursting forth with the Good News, sharing it with all she encounters.
