As they embark on their 50th annual festival this year, I had the immense joy of working with the Saint Jude Sweet Corn Festival Crew  to help solidify their first ever official logo and visual identity.
I grew up at St. Jude parish, and this yearly festival was a highlight each summer (and still continues to be one)! Growing up, before we were able to be at the festival the whole time, my brother and I would play festival at home with the neighbors while grandma watched us. When we could start helping out at the festival, we’d run around the place like we owned it. In 4th grade my design was the winning tshirt design. We painted a number of booths. There are just so many fond memories of being with that community and seeing this beautiful celebration come to life each year.
As they are gearing up for year number 50, it was wonderful to return and work with so many familiar faces to help build this system. Trying to tie in faith, community, corn, and so much more for this Cedar Rapids staple was so much fun and brought back so many fond memories.
Cheers to 50, St. Jude Sweet Corn Festival
